Ammolite in it's various forms:
Natural without any coating or cap, or like many of these are resin coated which if done well can be quite durable although with both the natural and resin cap you still have to be careful in setting and daily wear because it will scratch or be prone to damage against harder objects since the shell material is about a 4 on the MOHS scale. The triplets or often natural doublets because they already have the backing of matrix with just an addition of the either glass, quartz or spinel cap these are the most durable and also the most costly due to the work involved and are generally done with the best colors which also enhance the value but then you also have to be careful of moist heat like a shower which can cause the bond to weaken. So it all depends on the money you want to spend and the application you're looking for. We're always happy to help you figure out what would be best for your application!
